Obituary of Tommy L Gilchrist

On Friday October 21st 2022. Tommy was called home to take his final rest. In the Safety of our Heavenly fathers
Arms. Tommy was born on March 11th in 1960 to the Late Thomasenia (Hayes) Gilchirist and to the Late Willie Hurbert Gilchrist in Dillon, South Carolina.
He was educated in the Philadelphia school System.
Tommy graduated from Strawberry Mansion H.S.
After graduating he enlisted into the U.S. NAVY and he served 7 years.
After returning home. Tommy began working in Construction until he retired. Tommy loved to watch basketball, he also enjoyed watching documentaries and the history channel.
What he really loved was collecting JUNK!!!! For Real.
Tommy was the Life of the Party. Tommy knew how to work the room, making everyone laugh with his shenanigans he never met a Stranger. Tommy would do anything for anyone.
Tommy had a Great Love for Mr. Roger Moore. Tommy
would refer to him (Bru) and for his road Dog Gregory (Bazootie).
Proceeding him in Death : Father Wille Herbert Gilchrist. Mother Thomasenia (Hayes) Gilchrist. Brother Micheal Gilchrist, Sister Patricia (Trisha) (Hayes) Arrinaton.
Tommy Leaves to Cherish his Memory. His Beloved Life Companion Sylvia Moore and her Father Roger Moore.
Son De’Von Johnson, two granddaughters Amylah and Lilliana. God daughter Keshia (Hayes) Dupree. Two sisters Williedale (Gilchrist) Johnson and Jacqueline Gilchrist. Aunt Minnie (Bunny) Jones. Five uncles Richard (Lackie) Hayes, Franklin (Mae) Hayes, Edward Charles (Andrea) Washington, Jeron (Pandora) Hayes. Three nieces, one nephew. Three great nephews, four great nieces and the 31st and Diamond+Parkside family and a host of many more family and friends.
