Obituary of Doris Bennett

Doris Annette Bennett was born in Camden NJ on February 16, 1961 to Aaron Bennett Sr and the late Rose Mae Bennett. She was the second eldest of six children. She departed suddenly this earthly life into eternal peace on January 10, 2017 at the age of 55. Doris was educated in the Camden Public School Systems. Over the years, she had various jobs in retail and childcare in effort to support her family. Doris adored spending time with her grand children . She would often take them to the park, bake cakes with them and call them on Face Time. She was very close to her father and had a special bond with him, every night before she went to sleep she would make sure he was ok. Doris loved getting pampered at the nail salon and always made sure her sister had her hair on point. Doris enjoyed shopping with her sisters and taking occasional trips with her girlfriend to the casino and let’s not leave out her birds, she loved her birds. Doris was preceded in death by her mother Rose Mae Bennett and brother Steven. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughter Tamekia Bennett Perkins ( son in law Timothy Perkins), her son Owen Bennett, loving father Aaron Bennett Sr, sisters Deborah Bennett and Peggy Bennett. Brothers Aaron Bennett Jr. and James Bennett, grandchildren Lakyia, Aujonae, Tatyanah, Ayriana, Tah’ze and Owen Jr. God daughters Kiesha, Ameila, Melinda and Kylasia. Four nieces and 7 nephews, one special friend Ernest Tuten aka Jimbo and a host of aunts uncles cousins and friends.
