I knew Ernest “Peachie” Burwell through the Washington family since the late Spring of 2004. We were both in long-term relationships with Washington women and shared in the happy and sad moments of that family for nearly 20 years.
Peachie sorely missed his beloved Sonya and was looking forward to joining her when he passed over.
I saw him in person on a visit to South Jersey at the end of May with Sonya’s daughter Robin. We brought him the items from his apartment that he wanted at nursing home.
Talked to him on the phone in late August - so I’m glad to have spoken to him before he left us.
I will always remember Ernest Burwell as a friend and as a wonderful man.
