Obituary of Lee Smith
Please share a memory of Lee to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lee Thomas Smith, affectionately known as Lee Lee or Dollar Bill was born on March 11, 1972, in Camden, NJ to the late Darlene Smith and Lee Thomas McIver. One thing about Lee, he was a momma’s boy.
Lee was educated in the Camden City Public School System. As a young boy, he developed a talent for boxing. Throughout the years, he loved to practice his craft. He was known as the “one-hitter quitter.”
Lee was a hard worker; that’s where he gained the nickname Dollar Bill. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. His smile was captivating and would light up any room. Lee loved to grill and host Sunday night football parties for his family and close friends. He was a die-hard Cowboys fan and wouldn’t trade them for the world. He loved to tell jokes and make sure everyone around him was having a good time.
Lee leaves behind four daughters: Leah Holmes (Keenyn), Nashayia Cooper, Le’Asiah Berry-Smith, Le’Aynna Berry- Smith; seven siblings: Lilly Smith, Darlene Armstead, James Smith, Rose Williams, Michael Smith, Brian Smith (Ethel),Leon Smith; three grandchildren: Samir Hayes, Kaylee Thompson, Meah Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
