Obituary of Richard Donaldson

Richard Donaldson was born in Camden, NJ on October 25, 1937 to the late Harry and Marie Donaldson . He passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 @ age 86. A life-long resident of Camden, Richard was educated in the Camden City Public School System. He was a member of Local Union Hall 222 and subsequently established the successful Donaldson Builders, LLC. Richard was driven by hard work. He was a role model for young men in the community as a no nonsense man and provider for his family! Richard took great pride in his appearance and was always fashion forward. His favorite activity was ballroom dancing . He was dressed to the nine and smooth on the dance floor. He was a huge football fans and loved the Eagles. He is survived by his daughters, Dr. Shawn Donaldson and Felicia Odom. His sons, Tyrone Crisdon, Richard Hosley, Shimon Donaldson, a son In law Jamal Odom and Godson Thomas Turner Jr. He was proceeded in death by his wife Dona Donaldson and his 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Survived by his Special grandchildren, Layla and Ayanna Polk, Shalynn Clark, Ahmad Odom, Khloe and Brooklynne Donaldson, Tyrone Bush, Antonie Bush,Jane Bush, Jamie Chestnut and Debrise Clark, Richard and Felicia Smith, Tiffany Blakely, Alisha Arline, Richard Morice… 19 Great grandkids and special niece Carlotta Boo and his dear friends Sherman Barge, Neil Kline, Qwame Ogbonna-Bey. He will be cherished and remembered by Us All! We will miss you Dad, Uncle Rich. Funeral services will be finalized on September 30, 2024. Interment will be private at the family’s request .
