Barbara Elaine Smith (Nee Davis) also known as Baybu age 81 passed away on October 19, 2024. Barbara Smith was born September 13, 1943 in Camden NJ to Helen and Richard Davis. She was educated in the Camden school system, where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson HighSchool. She later went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Glassboro state She leaves to cherish her memories with her 9 siblings, Leslie Coleman (Norris), Bernice Perkins (Sam), Stephen Jones, Keith Jones and Gale Jones. Barbara married William Smith and raised 2 beautiful daughters Dana and Dellise. She is survived by 3 grandchildren, Marcus, Samoan, and Smooch, as well as 5 wonderful great grandchildren. She taught special education in the Camden City school district. She then became a probation officer for the Camden County Superior Court, where she then was promoted to Supervisor, after 35 years of service she retired. Barbara was a dedicated member of New Mickle Baptist Church. She was a missionary of the church as well as a member of the county missionaries. Barbara will be remembered by the love she had to travel, bowl, crochet, and listening to her music, playing games on her tablet and talking to her grandchildren. She also loved her Eagles and Phillies. Barbara was preceded in death by her 3 brothers Alfred Brown, Vernon Davis and Stephon Davis .
