Pauline Ruby Hubbard (née Turner) was born February 26th, 1937 in Washington, D.C. to Mabel Turner and Albert Bradford. Her early years were spent in Alabama with her grandfather, Richard Turner, before eventually returning to Washington D.C.
After graduating high school, Pauline moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she met her husband of 69 years, Leroy Hubbard, Sr. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother who prided herself on fostering a nurturing and loving home for her three children, while also supporting her husband throughout his lifelong career as a Construction Foreman.Pauline loved cooking and hosting extravagant dinner parties. She also enjoyed shopping, traveling with family and entertaining guests at her home. Most of whom, stayed for the “sock it to me” cake.Although she came from a small family, Pauline married into, and subsequently became very close to a vast extended family that adored her as dearly as she did them. Lebertha, Gabe Jr, Harry, Euradell, Archie Lee, Robert Earl, Ruthell, Iberia, Mary and Daisy.
Pauline was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served faithfully as a full-time pioneer for over 50 years. The one thing she loved as much as her family, was being out in the ministry and teaching people about the Bible.
She is predeceased by her husband, Leroy Hubbard, Sr., parents, Mabel Turner and Albert Bradford and half-sister, Denise Bradford.
Pauline is survived by her children, Leroy Jr, Desiree, and Paulette. Half-brother, Albert Bradford Jr., (Ivory), a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, Melanie Brielle, as well as with many nieces, nephews and close friends.
