Obituary of Marie Holland

Today we celebrate the life of our beloved Marie Antionette Holland. Marie was called home to glory on Thursday December 26, 2024. Leaving an indelible impression on this world and all that knew her. Marie came into this world on May 23rd in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred, fifty-nine. Her parents Ola Mae Dyson and John Hall gave us the precious gift that was Marie Antionette Cooper. Marie received her formal education at William Penn High School, followed by cosmetology school where she found her passion to make all things beautiful. Marie used that talent for beauty and became employed by J.C Penny where she worked her gift and became manager of the Hat department. All the while doing the hair of family and friends in her down time. Marie was also a Pre-School teacher at West Oak Lane Church of God. Marie loved the Lord and since she made a friend everywhere that she went she would share that love with everyone she met. Marie made sure her voice was heard by all who knew her, she loved to sing and would break out singing about her love for the Lord whenever the spirit moved her. Marie gave her heart to the Lord at Children Mission Evangelist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Edward Turner. She also attended West Oak Lane Church of God, Christ Center Church of God and Deliverance Church of God while she was a resident of Philadelphia. Marie relocated to New Jersey and found a church home at The Light House of Deliverance Church where she lived out her days. Marie made sure to join the choir in every church that she attended. Marie was given the honor of raising her two wonderful daughter’s Marrisa Robinson and Chanile Braswell. Marie married Ernest Holland. Preceding her in glory is her mother Ola Mae Dyson, father John Hall, and her brother Willie Louis Cooper. Marie Antionette Holland leaves to cherish her two daughters Marrissa Robinson & Chanile Braswell. Her five grandchildren Maruice, Milan, Nolan , Toni & Dori.Her sister Rev. Theresa Burse, her sister in love Princette Brooks and a host of friends.
