Obituary of Shavone Jones - Sanderlin

Shavone Jones-Sanderlin was born December 18, 1978, to James Jones II and Odessa Marie Davis-Brooks in Philadelphia, PA. Affectionately known to her family as “Shu Shu, or Shoe Fly,” Shavone received her formal education in the Philadelphia School Systems. 

Shavone grew up in the church and gave her life to God at an early age. She was in the choir and served on the children’s usher board at our family church Deliverance Evangelists in Philadelphia, PA. 

Shavone enjoyed singing, dancing and spending time with her children. Because of her heart, she was not able to work. 

Proceeded in death by her father the late James W. Jones, II (Butch) and sister Elaine Brooks (Tiny). 

Shavone leaves to mourn her five children, one son Kenyetta; four daughters, Keyona, Kirah, Karmah and Dezalina, Fiancé Joey; her mother, Mrs. Odessa Davis-Brooks; two brothers, Joseph Brooks and James Jones, Jr. (Lil Butch); two sisters, Roxann Brooks and Elisa Walker; brother-in-law Wayne Walker; nieces, Felecia Ann, Roxanne Perez (Baby Roxy), Andrea Clinton, Breona Clinton, Lexus Brooks, 

Destiny Brooks and Antoinette Brooks; nephews, Anthony Brooks, James Davis, Joseph Brooks (Lil Joe), Tramayne Brooks, Croccifixio Cunningham (Cross), Jaden Walker, Antoine Brooks and Antonio Brooks; god-brother, Naheem Davis; god-

sister Kenya Dixon, best friends Rochelle & Christine Perez Maldonado along with a host of family and friends. 

We all loved her but God loved her most.
