Obituary of Calvin Murphy Blackshear Sr

Calvin “Murphy” Blackshear, Sr., age 74, peacefully left this world on October 10, 2018. He will be lovingly remembered by a host of family and friends, much too numerous to be listed in any book. A celebration of Murphy’s life will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, 690 Ferry Ave, in Camden, New Jersey, on Friday October 19, 2018.

A true entrepreneur, Murphy was a jack of many trades. From building, to welding, to demolition, Murphy could do it all. His knowledge allowed him to be self employed for most of his life. As a Vietnam Veteran, he served his country.

While his blood family was large, his chosen family was even larger. He helped many to the point that some believed him to be Santa. A free spirit, he lived life on his own terms and will be missed by all that knew him.
