Obituary of Frances Howard

Frances Howard, the 5th of 13 children born to the late John H. Howard, Sr. and Mary E. Howard, was born on October 4, 1950. She was affectionately known as Fran and graduated from Palmyra High School in 1968. After successfully completing her Paralegal studies, Fran went to work for McCarter & English, LLP. She later retired from The Center for Family Guidance. After retirement Fran was employed by Message of Hope as an Administrative Assistant. Fran demonstrated her love for children and the elderly through her volunteer efforts. She took her grandchildren to visit the elderly in the senior homes in the Cinnaminson area. She was also a CASA volunteer that was appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in court and other settings. It was no secret that Fran loved her family. She never stopped praying for her children and family. Through all the trials and tribulations she may have endured, she kept fighting Fran transitioned from labor to reward on the evening of Thursday May 5, 2016, the National Day of Prayer, which was a testament to who she was as a prayer warrior. She was surrounded by her children: Timothy, Raymond, Tonya and Rafi; her sister and road dog Diana; two of her brothers: Michael and Robert along with two of her grandchildren Bill and Ray Ray. Fran was proceeded in death by her daughter, Tanya Lynn Howard, her parents John H. & Mary E. Howard and her oldest brother Merrill Moses. Fran leaves to cherish her memory her children: Timothy S. Howard of Palmyra, NJ, Raymond L. Howard, Sr. (Deborah) of Houston, TX, Tonya L. Washington (Marques, Sr.) of Palmyra, NJ and Rafi Cottries of Edgewater Pk., NJ; step daughter, Tawana; grandchildren: William, Malik, Tyrik, Zion, Sedale, French, Raymond Jr., Tameka, Takyla, Justin, TJ, Courtney, Isaiah and Marques, Jr.; great-grandchildren: William Jr., Jaidan and Jailea; god children: Edward, Anitra and Billy; sisters: Evelyn Chapman (Markham), Diana Howard Gaines, Janice McCleary (Brian), Joyce Pendleton (Michael), Margaret Howard, Grace Triplett (Quentin) and Charlene Davis; brothers: Michael Howard (Brenda), Robert Howard (Kim), Kenny Howard, John Howard, Jr. (Lily); grand-dog, Brownie and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
