Obituary of Myron Chambliss

Myron James Chambliss, affectionately known as Popsie, was born May 30, 1954 to the late Willie James and Willie Ruth Chambliss in Camden, New Jersey. He was the third sibling of six. Phyllis, Arlene,Stanley(preceded in death), Lorraine and Tracie. He was educated in the Camden School System. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1972. After graduating, he Enlisted in the U.S. Air Force working in the Canine Division. He was honorably discharged in 1977. In 1980 he left his birth state of N.J, and moved to Atlanta Ga. Where he lived for over 25 years. He returned to N.J in 2006 a year before his mother passed. He worked for Campbell Soup, Rudderow Roofing in Atlanta, Ga, Super Value, USS New Jersey Battle Ship, and Abigail Nursing Facility until he retired. Popsie was a fun loving man , he loved spending time with his family. His kind hearted spirit led him to help those in need. He was a jack of all trades, If you needed home repair advice or your car looked at, he was the person to go to. He would do anything for anybody! Our brother was a crossword puzzle and a sport fanatic. He loved watching sports, he would watch the games with his nephews Nardy and Boodles(proceeded in death). Our brother had a passion for music! Our brother “Stan The Man” was a D.J and he Rapped to his beats for hours. Popsie could sing and loved, Earth Wind and Fire, his favorite song is “Reasons”. He leaves to mourn sister, Phyllis (Kenneth), Arlene (James), Lorraine, Tracie, and Sister-in-law Mary(Stan), an ex wife Vonita Chambliss, Step son Wellington (Federika), three Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews friends and family. Don’t forget his cut buddies; Cowboy, Petie and Peanut. Also a very special friend Eileen Miller
