Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On November 21, 2021, the Lord called Linda R. Jones into eternity with him.
Linda Jones was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 1, 1947, to the late James and
Rachel Jones.
Linda was educated in the Camden City School system and graduated from
Camden High School in 1965.
After graduation Linda worked at RCA Victor, Camden and then in the early 70’s,
Linda relocated to Washington, DC where she worked for the International Group
Plan, until she returned to NJ. During her career, Linda worked as the first face you
would see greeting you. Her infectious smile and kind words made everyone feel
welcomed. Linda worked for the Joint Connection, in the Housing Assistance
Program, Camden; the Housing Department – City of Camden; and lastly Linda
was employed with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVR),
Camden.
To know Linda, was to love and enjoy Linda. She loved God, life, family, and
friends and was never afraid to show it. When you thought of Linda, you would
say there’s goes that ‘Jazzy’ lady, Ms. Social Butterfly, Ms. Linda, Mom, Sis,
Grammy, Aunt Linda and more. Linda was a proud member of the National Hook-
up of Black Women and the Sweat Hogs. Her social interests allowed her to
interact with many people throughout her life and the impact she had of them is
‘priceless’ and ‘everlasting’.
Linda Loved the Lord and faithfully attended Bible study and worshiped with the
Church of God virtually. This had a huge impact on her life and helped her to
gracefully transition through her illness. In her last days, Linda was still seen
smiling and giving praise to God for life, family, and friends.
Linda was predeceased by her Parents James and Rachel Jones, sister Camille
‘Candie’ Jones, brothers Rev. James Jones, Jr and Eddie Jones.
