Obituary of Karen Coles

Karen Louella Kay-Kay Coles, daughter of the late Dolores and Herbert Handy Sr was born in Philadelphia Pa on May 3, 1953 she departed this life on July 30 2016. Kay Kay accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a joy to have as a sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She left a lasting and pleasant impression on everyone she came in contact with. Kay Kay was educated in the Camden Public School System. She moved back to Philly where she worked at Providence Bank for many years and where she met her long loving companion of 38 years, Houseal Harrington. She was preceded in death by her son James "So Big" Coles her brother Edward Handy. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted companion Houseal; her only daughter Charris, grandchildren Kenneth (Chanay) Destiny and Walter great grandchildren Talgianna and Omari four brothers Herbert Jr (Elsie) Mitchell and Frederick (Wendy) and Norman Henderson (Lisa) seven sisters Belinda, Theresa Adams, Russine Sara Linda Benton (Perry) Vivian and Norma Moore (Lowell) one aunt Beatrice Oliver two great aunts Ida Clayton and Doris Sye forty nieces and nephews two step daughters Sabrina and Santial Cook, godbrother Howard Bronson and god sister Rachel Garcia and host of great nieces and nephews cousins and friends.
