Jocelyn LaShea Liggins passed away on January 1, 2022 and now rests in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on May 30, 1974 in the Philadelphia Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, PA to Franklin Cowherd and Dorothy Young. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Liggins; children, Evin Wallace and Paris Jasmine Liggins; grandchildren, Jamal, Cameron, Major, and Aria; siblings, Tamara Edwards, LaDeadra Fernandez, Rosetta Fernandez, and Niyime Fernandez; nieces and nephews, Maya, Mariaya, Stepfon, Mateem, Mickayla, Ny’daeyah, Nasir, Shamyra, Keyara, and Bayshon; grandmother, Arburta (Barry) Cowherd-DeShong; one great-uncle, Manfield Young; uncles and aunts, Rev. Adriane Blair (Rev. Ryan) Wise, Joseph (Nina) M. Blair, Jr., William (Libby) Cowherd, Merdis Hill, Arburta Jones, Barbara Harris Miles and Alan Harris; mother-in-law, Mary A. Ponder; father-in-law, Shirley (Margaret) Liggins; sister-in-laws, Daphne Jackson, and Elaine Franklin (Alton); predeceased by her parents, Franklin Cowherd, Dorothy Young Edwards and step-father, Robert Edwards; grandmother, Gladys A. Blair; and a host of cousins, and friends. DUE TO THE RECENT INCREASE IN COVID-19 CASES IN OUR AREA, HER CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE WILL BE HELD ONLINE. WE WILL NOT GATHER IN PERSON. Information will be forthcoming with a date and time for the service.
